How to Join
Joining is Easy!
You might think there’d be some hurdles to become part-owner of a credit union, but turns out it’s ridiculously easy. All you have to do is open a savings account and maintain a whopping balance of $5. You can join us online, over the phone, or in person at our branch locations.
Step 1: Determine Your Eligibility
Eligibility to join Liberty Bay is easier than you think. And once you join, you and your family can start enjoying the rewards of membership right away. Benefits of a membership will always be available to you and your family, no matter where life takes you.
There are 3 paths to membership: Community Member, Family Member, or Partner Member. Scroll down to learn more about each of these membership options.
Step 2: Have These Handy
- Your social security number. This allows us to follow government regulations and to verify your identity.
- A government-issued ID. We request this additional information to assist with identity verification (e.g. Driver’s License, Passport, State or Military ID).
- A valid email address. We’ll send you an email with a link to your account documents upon completion of your application.
Step 3: Open Your Savings Account
Open your Savings Account with a $5 deposit. This account is the foundation of your membership with us; that $5 deposit makes you a member-owner and gives you a say in the credit union’s decision. You can fund this account with either a credit card, debit card, checking account, or savings account.
