Scholarship Program

The 2026 Liberty Bay Scholarship Application is now closed. Entries will be accepted until March 12, 2026. Recipient must be a Liberty Bay Credit Union member, and act as a primary account holder.

Heading to college or trade school in 2026? Liberty Bay Credit Union is here to help you take the next step with scholarships that ease the cost of your education. Student-members can apply for one of ten $1,000 general scholarships, and high school, seniors may also apply for one or both of two $1,500 Community Service Scholarships by sharing how they’ve made a difference in their community.

Applications must be submitted by March 12, 2026. Winners will be announced at the Liberty Bay Credit Union Annual Meeting on April 28, 2026. Applications are accepted online only.

General Scholarship

Win up to $1,000 toward your education

Each year, Liberty Bay Credit Union awards ten $1,000 General Scholarships to help college-bound and currently enrolled members manage the cost of higher education. These scholarships are open to individuals who have been accepted into or are attending an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, technical, or vocational school. Funds may be used for tuition, books, supplies, or other education-related expenses, and the program honors former Credit Union employees, directors, and family members.

Jane B. Cella & Winifred Bolter Community Service Scholarships

Honoring service and commitment to our community

Liberty Bay Credit Union proudly offers two $1,500 Community Service Scholarships to recognize exceptional individuals who have made meaningful contributions to their communities. These essay-based scholarships honor the legacy of two individuals who dedicated a combined 75 years of service to the Credit Union.

The Jane B. Cella Scholarship for Community Service commemorates a longtime Credit Union employee who devoted 46 years to Liberty Bay, while the Winifred Bolter Community Service Award Scholarship honors a board member who served for 29 years. One individual will be selected for each scholarship.

Scholarship funds may be used toward tuition, books, supplies, or other educational expenses during the academic year.

Application Requirement
This is an essay-based scholarship. To apply, you must: Upload a Word document detailing the community service you have performed or the meaningful contributions you have made to your communities.
