Automatic Transfer Protection

If you write a check, authorize a payment, withdraw cash at an ATM, or use your debit card to make a purchase when there are not enough available funds in your checking account, Liberty Bay can transfer funds from your designated Overdraft Protection source, such as your Liberty Bay Savings account, Liberty Bay Home Equity Line of Credit, and/or Money Market account.

New checking accounts with Automatic Transfer Protection will be enrolled with Savings as the designated Overdraft Protection source. To add additional sources for Overdraft Protection please contact our Member Services team.

Overdraft Protection

Overdraft Protection is a service that protects you (up to an assigned limit**) when there is insufficient money in your checking account to cover transactions such as checks, teller withdrawals, ACH transactions, and recurring debit card payments. There is no cost for this service unless you use it; you may be charged a $25 fee for each overdrawn item.

Overdraft Protection is automatically extended to all members with Benefits Checking, Premier Checking, and Employee Preferred checking where the account is maintained in good standing*. If you wish to have your account removed from this program contact our Member Services team.
